Monday Drop-in Meditation: 6pm – 7pm
Basic meditation instruction and practice. One session of mindfulness meditation, followed by a guided meditation. Time for discussion afterwards. Drop-ins and new students always welcome! Look for us in the Main Gompa.
Sunday Guided Contemplations: 9:30am – 10:15am
Stabilizing meditation followed by guided contemplation on various Dharma topics.
Come on in and choose your cushion or chair. Venerable Drimay will give a brief explanation of how to adjust your mental and physical posture.
Quiet meditation includes settling the attention on the breath and then discovering the essential nature of mind/awareness.
After a quick break to stretch our legs and make any needed adjustments, we sit back down for another 15-20 minutes of contemplation on various Dharma topics – lessons taught by the Buddha and the centuries of later Buddhist masters.
Check calendar for location. Sometimes we’re in the Main Gompa and sometimes we’re up in the Wish Fulfilling Temple, depending on the weather and other things going on.
