Join Us for a Celebration and Offerings to Ksitigarbha!
Labour Day weekend
Saturday, September 4, 2010
11am - 3pm

The golden Buddha statue located in the upper area of the center was donated by members of our Chinese community to Land of Medicine Buddha over 13 years ago. Since that time the community has donated time, money and prayers to creating an environment for offering prayers to the Buddha that cares for beings that have been reborn in the unfavorable realms. People make prayers to this Buddha whose mission it is to help beings out of the suffering. It is the pledge of Ksitigarbha to help, and a sense of dedication that take responsibility for helping the suffering. It is said that Ksitigarbha asks "if I do not help, who will."

This is a day of offerings to Buddha Ksitigarbha.
