Help LMB Rebuild, Reimagine & Renew

The past year and a half have brought many challenges, including the turbulence of the pandemic, changes in leadership and an aging facility that desperately needs tender loving care. We are deeply grateful for your kind and heartfelt support and rejoice in the merit we have created together. These difficult times underscore the importance of communities of practice and learning like ours in creating a place of refuge and healing.

As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year, we have decided that it’s time to REBUILD, REIMAGINE & RENEW. While we will continue to offer (and grow) our amazing online spiritual programming as well as our online book and gift store, we will close our facility to the public from November 1, 2021 through April 1, 2022. This temporary land closure will give our small team the breathing space to facilitate critical infrastructure, system and safety repairs so that we can ensure this precious land, which has been blessed by so many amazing teachers over the years, benefits generations to come.

We ask for your support so we can continue to serve you, our wonderful community, as we rebuild, reimagine and renew Land of Medicine Buddha.

With your generous help, we’ll build a solid foundation for Land of Medicine Buddha so we can emerge in spring 2022 as an even brighter beacon of light for the world, when it needs it more than ever.

“A Dharma center which offers practices and education is an extremely important need. It is a very important tool to bring peace in the world, and peace in numberless sentient beings’ minds. Whatever you are able to contribute will benefit not only for peace of this world but for all sentient beings.” – Lama Zopa Rinpoche

100,000 Stupa Project

The Stupa will be the central axis in a garden which will offer sites to sit and meditate, thousands of memorial stupas, a garden of flowers grown as offerings to the Buddha, places to perform prostrations, ponds with places for peaceful travelers to rest and reflect.

Ksitigarbha Pureland Project

Ksitigarbha Pureland provides a place to make offerings, practice, rejoice, and pray to Ksitigarbha. The nine-foot Ksitigarbha statue has been a focal-point of Land of Medicine Buddha since 2008. We recently completed the Ksitigarbha Temple, which houses 108 beautiful 18-inch Ksitigarbha statues.
