As of January 16, 2026, Land of Medicine Buddha introduced a $20 entrance fee or new $10 low income option for all cars, pedestrians, and bikes. This fee helps cover the rising costs of stewarding our cherished 108-acre land in the redwood forest, including trails, forest care, buildings, septic and water systems, sacred sites, and more. Caring for this sacred place is a profound responsibility, and we are deeply committed to preserving this refuge for generations of hikers, practitioners, and visitors like you.

For those who visit regularly, the Annual Land Steward Membership offers significant savings and unlimited access to the trails, meditation hall, sacred sites, cafe, and bookstore. It is a meaningful way to support the ongoing care of the land while continuing to enjoy this rare and beautiful place for walking, reflection, and connection with nature.

Land Steward Membership Options

Supported Rate: Seniors 65+, Veterans, Students, EBT cardholders. Verification required.

Membership Savings Breakdown

  • $180/year = $15/month = $3.46/week
  • $120/year = $10/month = $2.50/week

Land Steward Membership Benefits

  • Unlimited land and trail access between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with car hangtag
  • Access to sacred sites such as trails, stupa, temples, prayer wheels, and gompa
  • 10% off purchases in the bookstore and Big Love Cafe

Plus free entry to the following:

  • Saturday Beginner Classes | 10:30 am – noon
  • Sunday Drop-In Meditation | 9:00 am – 10:00 am

  • Memberships renew annually based on your purchase month; renewal month is printed on your hangtag

Existing monthly donors or Friends of LMB will receive a Land Steward Membership hangtag automatically. No change to your donation is required. Pick up in the bookstore.
