Dear Friends,
On January 16, Land of Medicine Buddha introduced a $20 Entrance Fee and a new $10 low income option for all cars, pedestrians, and bikes. For many years, the generosity of our visitors has helped us care for this beautiful land. As visitation has grown, we have shifted from a suggested donation to an entrance fee so this sacred place can remain open, well cared for, and a refuge for generations to come. For our frequent visitors, we have introduced the Annual Land Steward Membership for significant savings.
Stewarding 108 acres of land, along with the buildings, infrastructure, staff, and daily maintenance, is a large responsibility. We are deeply grateful for your support and kind understanding.

How to Visit LMB
Choose Your Access Type
- Regular Day Visitor — $20 entrance fee or $10 low income per car, pedestrian, or bike
- Annual Land Steward Membership — Purchase at the gate or bookstore
- $180/year or $120/year for Veteran/Student/Senior/EBT
Entrance Fee Waived:
- Overnight or Retreat Guests
- Pre-registered Student
- Guest with Memorial Shrine for a loved one
Arrive at the Gate
- Gate Hours are 8 am–5 pm
Options:
- Pay the $20 entrance fee or $10 low income via QR code on the entrance sign, credit card or cash at the gate, or bookstore.
- Show Land Steward Membership hangtag for quick entry.
- Give your name at the gate if staying overnight, if registered for a retreat, classes or meditations, or have a memorial shrine for a loved one.
Parking & Access
- No parking on Prescott Road, the windy road leading to LMB. We can’t emphasize this enough.
- Follow parking signage. If the lower lot is full, please continue up to the meadow and park in an organized way, parallel to other cars.
- Do not park at Ksitigharba Temple.
- You may park at Wish Fulfilling Temple if there are open spaces.
- Bike parking available (lock required, not responsible for loss).
