Tengyur Rinpoche is a Geshe Lharampa graduate from Sera Jey Monastery, and a junior English translator for His Holiness the Dalai Lama since 2012. In 2024 Tengyur Rinpoche graduated from Harvard University with a Master’s degree in Theological Studies.
He was born in Tawang in the North-Eastern part of India and became a monk at the age of nine. In 2014 he founded Thubten Shedrubling Foundation in Tawang, a Buddhist center and a modern education center that offers free education to children and adults. In 2021, Tengyur Rinpoche led the founding of Wisdom Bridges, Inc., a US-based NGO that is dedicated to helping children in remote Himalayan communities to fulfill their potential through education that bridges traditional wisdom and modern learning and sustains their language and culture. Tengyur Rinpoche teaches in Dharma centers in Europe, Asia, and North America.
