Join us for a joyous day of offerings and community!

The festival returns this year with a day of offerings honoring Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s guidance and the display of our 24′ Medicine Buddhas thangka and the Eight Great Bodhisattva thangkas.

Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche has encouraged as part of the Vast Visions for FPMT to support, create, and display large thangkas and to host thangka festival days where many people can gather to enjoy the beauty and power of the holy artwork and participate in making offerings and other virtuous activities.

Festival Day activities include the following:

• Procession led by the Gamelan Orchestra
• Short talk on Medicine Buddha by Geshe Tenzin Legtsok
• Medicine Buddha Puja led by geshes from the Sera Jey Foundation and the Gyuto Center
• Mongolian traditional contortion art form, acrobatics, and dance
• Tibetan music and dance (with community participation)
• Peace Hike led by geshes from the Sera Jey Foundation
• Kids activities with Tara Redwood School
• Tibetan medicine, acupuncture booths, and qigong
• Gizdich Farm Pies!
• Adoptable dogs from the SPCA
• Raffle
• Complimentary lunch
• Free event, free parking on the land

Current Festival Schedule

10:00 am Festival booths will open at the Wish Fulfilling Temple festival grounds
11:00 am Procession departs from the lower campus with the Medicine Buddha thangka
11:30 – 12:45 pm Talk on the Medicine Buddha and Medicine Buddha Puja
12:45 pm Free lunch served
1:00 pm Qigong session (additional session at 2:00 pm)
1:00 – 1:30 pm Music and acrobatic offerings by the Mongolian Community
1:30 pm Raffle drawing
1:45 –3:00 pm Music and dance offerings by the Tibetan community
3:00 pm Join the Hike for Peace, 2-mile hike led by the geshes from Sera Jey Foundation

You are  welcome to submit names for dedication here. You may also submit names at the event. These names will be read by the ordained Sangha at the conclusion of the Medicine Buddha Puja. Deadline for submitting names via this link is Friday, June 26 at 7:00 pm.
