Weekly Drop-In Meditation
With Venerable Gyalten Chimé
February 8, 2026
Sundays 9:00 am – 10:00 am
This week, Venerable Gyalten Chime will lead Sunday Drop-In Meditation in-person only in the Gompa.
These guided meditations bring together a refreshing and precious combination of simplicity, depth, and accessibility. These weekly, hour-long sessions are of great relevance and value to long-term Buddhist practitioners as well as to complete newcomers to the Buddhist path. No doubt this is partly thanks to the wisdom, warmth of heart, and straightforward sincerity with which the meditations are delivered.
How to Prepare for the Meditation
Come a little early to find a seat and settle in. The meditation leader will give a brief explanation of how to adjust your mental and physical posture. Then we will start with concentration meditation, focusing our awareness on the breath. After a quick break approximately midway through to stretch our legs and make any needed adjustments, we sit back down for another 15–20 minutes of contemplation on various Dharma topics—lessons taught by the Buddha and the centuries of later Buddhist masters.
These guided meditations are free with your $20 entrance fee or annual membership. Offerings of generosity for the teacher are welcomed.
