“When you change your mind, you change your world.”
— Lama Thubten Yeshe

About the course:

Due to the richness of Lama Thubten Yeshe’s classic book How to Be Your Own Therapist, we are offering another three weeks of this course. There is so much more to explore, and this extended series allows us to go deeper into the material. New participants are warmly welcome to join, and those who attended the previous series are invited to continue their journey with us.

Led by Karuna Cayton—a psychotherapist and longtime student of Lama Yeshe—this course offers practical methods for cultivating emotional balance, self-awareness, and inner peace. Participants will discover how Buddhist psychology can be applied to everyday challenges and the patterns of mind that shape our experience.

This course is ideal for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of their mind and emotions, whether you’re new to Buddhism or a long-time practitioner. Karuna draws upon decades of therapeutic experience and profound study of Buddhist teachings to offer a clear, grounded, and accessible path to becoming your own wise and compassionate guide.

Through teachings, discussion, and guided meditation, you will explore how to:

  • Recognize the roots of dissatisfaction and stress

  • Build clarity, self-compassion, and resilience

  • Develop a healthier, more empowering relationship with your mind and emotions

Join us for this next stage of the journey toward greater self-understanding and inner freedom. No prior experience with Buddhism is needed.

Drop-ins welcome!
