Medicine Buddha Festival

With Geshe Tenzin Legtsok and Kalden Kho

October 25, 2025

Saturday, October 25

10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Join us for a joyful day of community, healing, and practice as we celebrate the Medicine Buddha Festival. The day begins with a procession from the Gompa to the Wish Fulfilling Temple, where we will raise our magnificent 24 ft Medicine Buddha Thangka. At the Wish Fulfilling Temple, Geshe Legtsok will lead us in special Medicine Buddha Puja.

After the puja, please join us for a delicious complimentary vegetarian lunch before settling in for a Dharma talk and guided meditation with Geshe Legtsok. There will be coffee, chai, and some light food offerings to purchase at our brand new food cart: Big Love Cafe. We’ll close the day with a deeply restorative healing sound journey led by Kalden Kho.

All are welcome!

About the Medicine Buddha Puja

Medicine Buddha is the embodiment of the healing energy of all enlightened beings. Prayers to Medicine Buddha are considered especially powerful because of the vast aspirations they made for the welfare of sentient beings. They prayed deeply for both the temporary and ultimate happiness of all beings, and vowed that these prayers would be fulfilled in these times. The Medicine Buddha Puja is traditionally performed for those who are ill, dying, recently deceased, or experiencing hardship. By gathering for this special puja, we dedicate healing to everyone present, to all whose names are included in the practice, and to all sentient beings, including animals.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are seeking volunteers to assist with setup on Friday, October 24th, from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.

We are also seeking help on Festival Day with parking, serving food, setting out offerings and flowers, and clean up.

This is a wonderful way to offer service, connect with the community, and create merit together while helping bring this special day to life. All volunteers will get free Medicine Buddha 2025 T-shirts.

Without you, this special day – and Land of Medicine Buddha itself- would not be possible.
