Bhikshuni Thubten Nordzin, affectionately known as Venerable Ingrid, after
a short period of illness, was admitted to Tara Home at Land of Medicine
Buddha and passed away on February 17th 2025.
As a way for all her friends and dharma brothers and sisters to gather, pray
and celebrate her life we held a group memorial and prayer practice
for her at Land of Medicine Buddha on March 1st at 3pm. There are 7 Medicine Buddha Pujas being held for her during the 49 day period of her Bardo Period. Those links can be found below and you may register for any of those Pujas

Ven. Ingrid took Novice ordination in July 1988 with Lama Zopa
Rinpoche at Nalanda Monastery and Full ordination in December 1994 in
Los Angeles. She offered many years of service and practice within FPMT
to fulfill the wishes of Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche and was very devoted
to attending as many of Rinpoche’s teachings as possible.
In particular, she was known as the Flower Dakini due to her incredible
talent for creating the most beautiful, breathtaking flower arrangements to
place in front of Rinpoche’s throne and on tables next to him as well as
offering arrangements for many other holy beings. She also possessed a
great sense of humor and very charming personality, enjoying a lot of
laughter.

Pujas Over the 49 Days

During the 49 day bardo period we will offer 7 Medicine Buddha pujas
on Sundays to support her good future rebirth. Please register for these
through the following centers by clicking on highlighted dates listed below:

February 23: Tse Chen Ling, 3pm (led by Ven. Yangchen)

March 9: Ocean of Compassion, 3pm (led by Ven. Angie)

March 16: Tse Chen Ling, 3pm (led by Ven Carol)

March 23: Tse Chen Ling, 3pm (led by Ven. Yangchen)

March 30: Tse Chen Ling, 3pm (led by Ven. Carol)

April 6: Tse Chen Ling, 3pm (led by Ven. Katy)

In the meantime, during the 49 days Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche advised
to do both Medicine Buddha Practice and the King of Prayers. Geshe
Ngawang Dakpa has also advised that the Vajra Cutter Sutra is very good
to do during this time.
