Service-Study Application

The Service-Study program is intended for people who are inspired to serve others and embody the values of compassion, wisdom, and generosity. As a Service-Study participant, you will have the opportunity to share your talents, serve our community, practice the Bodhichitta of Aspiration and Application, and deepen your own practice and learning in Dharma.  Service-Study positions are essential to the functioning of the organization and their input is invaluable to the Land of Medicine Buddha.

    All jobs in the Service-Study Program require the ability to lift 50 pounds and engage in physical,
    repetitive activity. Are you capable of meeting these requirements?

    Living and working at LMB requires the ability to be to handle highly stressful situations, both in
    a living and working environment. Please explain how you handle highly stressful situations.

    The kitchen at LMB is a vegetarian facility. Do you have any difficulties with a vegetarian diet?

    All people who live and work at LMB are asked to adhere to the 5 Lay Precepts. The Precepts are to refrain from killing, lying, stealing, engaging in sexual misconduct, and taking intoxicants (including alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana) while on the Land.
