Bringing Maitreya Back

Help Bring Maitreya Back to the Wish Fulfilling Temple

Dear Friends,

We are preparing to bring our beloved 24-foot golden Maitreya Buddha back into the Wish Fulfilling Temple at Land of Medicine Buddha, and we warmly invite your help in making this possible.

Due to necessary renovations, Maitreya was temporarily removed from the Temple. Before the statue can return, we are building a new wooden throne, which will be beautifully painted and decorated in a traditional style befitting this magnificent image of Maitreya—the Buddha of Loving Kindness.

For many years, people have come from near and far to sit in Maitreya’s presence, offer prayers, receive inspiration, and strengthen their hope for a more loving and peaceful world. We are very happy for the opportunity to welcome Maitreya back to the Temple.

Our aspiration is to complete the throne and return Maitreya to the Wish Fulfilling Temple while our visiting teacher, Segyü Khen Rinpoche Lobsang Wangdu, is with us in early September.

The building, painting, and decoration of the new throne will cost approximately $12,000. Every contribution, of any size, will help us bring this beautiful project to completion.

With countless thanks for your kindness and generosity.

Thank you for your donation today!
