Join us at 9:30am on Facebook Live for an hour-long guided meditation.
Make yourself comfortable at home in a suitably quiet and comfortable location and try to insure you won’t be interrupted for the duration of the session. Our meditation leader, Ven Yangchen, will give a brief explanation of how to adjust your mental and physical posture.
The meditation session will comprise two distinct phases. We always start with concentration meditation, focusing our awareness on the breath. This part of the meditation will take about twenty minutes or so.
After a quick break to stretch our legs and make any needed adjustments, we sit back down for another 15-20 minutes. For this portion of the meditation, the focus is on contemplation of various Dharma topics – lessons taught by the Buddha and the centuries of later Buddhist masters.
