Join us in the practice of the Buddha of Compassion and recitation of the mani mantra – om mani padme hum – during Saka Dawa, the month commemorating the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana.
Program:
- Chenrezig Nyung-nay sadhana for morning session
- Simplified Chenrezig sadhana for later sessions throughout the day, focusing on reciting the mani mantra
Nyung nay retreats, Chenrezig practice and recitation of om mani padme hum are commonly done during Saka Dawa, as it is the month Bhikshuni Lhakshmi (Gelongma Palmo) achieved the state of the Buddha of Compassion.
We are pleased to offer this incredible opportunity to accumulate 100,000 mani mantras over the Memorial weekend.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche said:
The benefits of reciting the Mantra of the Buddha of Compassion are countless, as the sky has no limits. Even just one recitation of OM MANI PADME HUM purifies completely every breaking of the four-root vows of individual liberation and every other negative karma.
Note: This can count as the retreat requirement for DB13.
