Part Three: Summer 2015

We are at about this point in Gyaltsab Je’s commentary:

As explained above, to accept future buddhahood but not to accept the certainty of that buddhahood is illogical. Moreover, to say that it is not established that all sentient beings are future buddhas does not withstand analysis. If the minds of sentient beings were not naturally pure, we would have to admit the possibility of truly existent phenomena in the realm of existence. Therefore, as all existence would not be proven by valid perception to be empty of true existence, ultimate truth could not established. On the other hand, if mind is established by valid perception as being naturally pure, the defilement of holding to true existence and its instincts can be established by that valid reasoning to be adventitious and separable from the mind.

This is a weekly class, on Tuesday nights, 7pm.
