Medicine Buddha puja & Vajrasattva practice

Tue, Aug 7

All are welcome to join us in these practices performed on this occasion particularly for our Dharma sister, Elea Redel, per the request of our spiritual director, Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

Medicine Buddha is a regular practice here. The puja includes recitations and requests made to each of the 7 Medicine Buddha brothers plus Shakyamuni Buddha. Read some advice about Medicine Buddha mantra here.

Vajrasattva is a purification practice with mantra recitation and visualization. The practice includes methods to block negative karma from arising. Read about Vajrasattva practice here.

The best way to find out about these practices is to join in and try it.

Request from Lama Zopa Rinpoche:

My most dear, most kind, most precious, wish-fulfilling Ones,

I have recently received this news about one old student Elea Redel:

Ven. René just spent some time with Elea and mentioned how difficult things are for her now and how much pain she is in. Ven. René said that he wouldn’t be able to bear her suffering state, for even one hour.

Please at the centers for the next two months (August and September) if you can arrange Medicine Buddha pujas and Vajrasattva practice, please dedicate for Elea Redel to immediately recover and to have a most meaningful life and to achieve enlightenment quickly for sentient beings.

And then also individually at home when you do these two practices please dedicate for Elea.

With much love and prayers,

Lama Zopa
