Geshe Dakpa of Tse Chen Ling in San Francisco will be at LMB today and will lead the Medicine Buddha puja as part of the memorial service for our recently departed Dharma friend, Alison Harr. Therefore, this will count as our puja for the day. All are welcome to join us in reciting these prayers for the sake of Alison, for all the people on the prayer list, and for all sentient beings.
Different start time: The memorial service is scheduled to start at 3pm. We’re not sure exactly when Geshe-la will start the puja, but it will probably be close to 3:00.
Medicine Buddha is the manifestation of the healing energy of all enlightened beings. Prayers to Medicine Buddha are especially powerful because of the extensive prayers they took to benefit sentient beings. They strongly prayed for the temporal and ultimate happiness of all sentient beings; they vowed that their prayers would be actualized during these times.
If you would like to request a prayer – so that you or a loved one receives dedications of the merit at the end of the puja – go to:
No registration required to sit in on the puja.
