Lhabab Duchen: Anniversary of Buddha’s Descent from Heaven
Lhabab Duchen, “Descent from the Celestial Realm” is a day commemorating Shakyamuni Buddha’s descent from the Celestial Realm of the Thirty-three after spending three months there, teaching his mother the Dharma. Lhabab Duchen provides us all with an opportunity to accumulate great merit. According to the Vinaya text Treasure of Quotations and Logic, all merit created on this special day is multiplied 100 times.
