Lama Chöpa (Guru Puja) is an integral practice in our lineage which is usually conducted twice a month at our Dharma centers and even on a daily basis by the very dedicated practitioners. This will be a retreat-style teaching with practice sessions.
Pre-requisite: a Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment. Some examples: Yamantaka, Heruka (Chakrasamvara), Guhyasamaja, Hayagriva (Secret or Most Secret). If you’re not sure you have had one of these, then probably you haven’t.
Commitment: Best to do Lama Chopa daily. If not, then meditate a little on Refuge, Bodhichitta, and Lo-jong each day.
Note: This applies even for part-time participation.
Session times
We will have three sessions per day. Dagri Rinpoche will teach two of those sessions – afternoon and evening – and might join us for some of the morning sessions. The morning sessions – consisting of practice and review – will led by a senior Sangha.
