We are delighted to invite you to attend an ***online*** version of our annual Ksitigarbha Festival Day! You will receive the link to join the Zoom session in the registration confirmation email sent to you after registration is complete.
We will follow our usual practice of making offerings and prayers to the Great Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha starting at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 5th. Because this is a virtual event, we will make offerings on your behalf in front of Ksitigarbha.
The Ksitigarbha statue located in the upper area of the center was donated by members of our Chinese community many years ago. Please join us as we offer prayers to Ksitigarbha who cares for beings that have been reborn in the unfavorable states of rebirth. Ksitigarbha made a sacred commitment to help beings out of suffering, vowing:
Until the hells are empty, I vow not to become a Buddha.
Only after all living beings are saved , will I myself attain Bodhi.
