DB2: "How to Meditate" begins

Tuesdays, Aug 16 to Sep 13

Meditation existed before the Buddha appeared in the world and nowadays meditation is being practiced for all sorts of reasons—for improved health, for relaxation, or even to help people perform better in their work. Buddhism has a specific definition for meditation which in some ways might be narrower than the general meaning, and in some ways might be wider.

The idea of meditation is to make ourselves familiar with more healthy, positive, and helpful ways of thinking, states of mind, patterns of thinking and behaving. And the more we make ourselves familiar with these positive states of mind, the more they will arise easily, naturally, and spontaneously.
