Our schedule of events is getting busy this late spring/early summer, with visiting teachers and new courses.

Masters Program graduate and touring teacher, Don Handrick will be giving two public talks, May 11 and May 18, and teaching an entire module of the FPMT Basic Program – Transform your Mind, Transform the World (The Wheel of Sharp Weapons) – over two intensive weekends, May 12-14 and May 19-21. Don is based at our center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he teaches intermediate-level courses when he’s not on tour.

To commemorate the holy month of Saka Dawa – the anniversary of Lord Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana (passing away) – we are offering four classes on What the Buddha Taught, June 4, 8, 11, and 15.

Later in June, we will be honored by the visit of Dagri Rinpoche, one of the high incarnations who has stepped up to assist Lama Zopa Rinpoche in taking care of our organization by teaching at FPMT centers around the world. Dagri Rinpoche will give a public talk on June 21, an initiation and commentary on the esoteric practice of Chöd, Jun 22-26, and will attend this year’s Medicine Buddha Festival on July 1.

See the Dharma Programs Calendar for other events, such as on-going meditations, Discovering Buddhism courses, and other retreats later this year.
