Land of Medicine Buddha is set in 108 acres of picturesque redwood forest. We offer many hiking trails, including our newly developed Eight Verses Pilgrimage Trail which offers people the opportunity to meditate on thought transformation in a tranquil outdoor setting, complete with teak benches to rest and a commentary to guide you through meditation.
Facilities available include two meeting halls, overnight accommodation for up to approximately 47 guests (in 19 rooms), vegetarian kitchen, dining room, book & gift store, sauna, and walking trails. Audiovisual and other equipment is available. We have a beautiful sunny meadow with a wooden platform perfect for small outdoor sessions, which is only a short hike to the Enchanted Forest and Nicene Marks State Park.
