YURT TEMPLE CAMPSITE:

LOCATION:
·    Nestled in a glorious ancient redwood grove. Truly a sacred space.
·    A Perfect place for small groups for meetings, gatherings, workshops, and retreats.

LODGING:
·    Six  yurts accomodating one to three people each - furnished with a twin bed and a full size futon bed
·    One tent platform for a 1-3 person tent available
·    Towels, soap and bedding provided.  Heated mattress pads provided.
·    Storage and electricity in each yurt.
·    A phone for emergency calls only is located in the kitchen area.
·    Two full bathrooms, one with bathtub/shower, one with shower only
·    Central kitchen area includes a microwave, toaster, sink, refrigerator and coffee and tea services. A stove is not provided.

MEALS:

  • All meals served at our center are delicious and vegetarian! All meal choices must be pre arranged when booking the campsite.
  • There are items in the campground kitchenette for making coffee and tea.
  • Food  for meals may be brought in to the campground. However, food must be simple and able to be eaten cold or reheated as there is no stove; there is a refrigerator, toaster, microwave and coffee and hot water pots. Please do not bring any extra appliances to plug in such as toaster ovens etc.
  • Campers may join us for meals at the  main part of the center. This choice must be made upon booking.

MEAL OPTIONS FOR GROUP RENTALS ONLY:

The group may choose to have some or all of their meals in our main dining room or at the campsite. Breakfast at the site includes cold cereals, toast, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. Box lunches and dinners are also available to be consumed at the campsite.  Cost of meals: Breakfast $ 6.00, lunch $13.00, Dinner $10.00

MEETING SPACES:
·    Depending on size of group, one yurt can be used for meetings, meditation, yoga, dining room, etc.
·    The Pavillion in the meadow above the campsite is available for use for groups at a rate of $200.00 per day. The Pavillion is a tent structure with a slatted wooden floor.
·    Use of the Pine Room or Gompa as a meeting space may be an option

LOGISTICS:
·    To protect the beauty of the campsite and the safety of the hikers, parking is one third of a mile away.  Park at Ksitigharba lot. A car will be available to transport baggage to and from the parking lot to the campsite at 4 pm (check in time) and 11AM (check out time) Please make sure to inform us if you want this service, otherwise we will assume your group members have chosen to hike in with their bags. This campsite is not handicap accessible.
·    Check in is at the main office before 4:00pm to get keys before heading to the campsite.
·    Check out at the main office is at 11:00am unless prior arrangements have been made at time of booking. Keys may be left in the yurts or kitchen area at the campsite.

PRICES:
·    Cost of use of yurt $80.00 per night for 1 or two guests, $95 for three people.  As a meeting space, the yurt is $80 per day.
·    Cost of use of tent platforms $40.00 per
·    Rental of Pavillion to be used as a meeting space $200.00 (prices for other meeting spaces available on request)

RULES
·    Please be mindful of noise to allow all to take advantage of the profound quiet of the redwoods
·    Site must be as clean after your stay as when you arrived. $50.00 charge if campsite is left messy.
·    Be mindful not to have food in the yurts that are used for sleeping or left outdoors due to our hungry forest friends, deer and raccoons live here too!
·    As everywhere else at our retreat center, the Five Precepts must be adhered to.
·    ABSOLUTELY, NO FIRES, CANDLES, INSCENSE, SMOKING OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY KIND ALLOWED AT THE CAMPSITE, EITHER INSIDE THE YURT OR OUTSIDE.THERE IS A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM AT THE CAMPSITE.
 


WISH FULFILLING YURT TEMPLE CAMPSITE:

LOCATION:
·    Steps away from the Wish Fulfilling Temple.
·    Perfect for small groups for meetings and gatherings
·    Wonderful individual retreats

LODGING:
·    One yurt with full handicap access, and accommodates one to three people.
·    The handicapped accessible yurt is on the upper level of the center.
·    Towles, soap and bedding provided. Beds are twin beds. Heated mattress pads provided.
·    Storage and electricity in each yurt.
·    Two tent platforms for 1-3 person tents are located near the  yurt
·    One full handicapped accessible bathroom, with shower.
·    Kitchen building which includes a microwave, toaster, sink, refrigerator and coffee and tea services. A stove is not provided.

The Yurt Temple Campsite at Land of Medicine Buddha is a uniquely beautiful campground in the redwood forest of Santa Cruz California. Anyone looking to camp in the California Mountains will be pleasantly surprised by camping at this magical site. Six clean and comfortable Yurts are pleasantly situated in a grove of redwood trees with close access to a clean indoor shared bathroom. Guests may also set up private tents within the campground.
