Jhado Tulku Rinpoche is one of the most highly esteemed lamas in the Geluk lineage today.  He served as the abbot of Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, the personal monastery of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and is also an ex-abbot of Gyuto Tantric College in lower Dharmasala. In addition to his excellent education in the Geluk monastic college system, over the years Rinpoche has also received many oral transmissions and empowerments from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and his two main tutors, as well as from many great teachers from other traditions. Renowned for his keen intelligence and dynamic teaching style, Jhado Rinpoche is also highly acclaimed for his ability to engage Western students in ways that are interesting and personally relevant. In addition to these qualities, Rinpoche is also well known and loved for his gentle demeanor and his kindness.

Jhado Rinpoche teaches mostly in Tibetan, with English interpretation by Ven. Steve Carlier.

We are currently seeking a Spiritual Program Coordinator (SPC) to join Team LMB as soon as possible. This is a full time (35 hours per week) paid position. There is the possibility of this being a residential position.

The SPC works closely with the Executive Director to develop, design, and implement the spiritual program at LMB. The SPC is responsible to the Executive Director and to FPMT International Office to ensure that the Center’s spiritual program is in line with FPMT policy and guidelines, ensuring that it reflects the unique teaching style of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche. This is the ideal position for a creative, dynamic person looking to offer service within the FPMT mandala.

Good Virtue applies bas relief sculptures to the dome of the stupa, May 2017.

We are so glad to have our amazing artist Good Virtue back at LMB! He is creating beautiful molds to go on the top Kadampa Stupa right now.

During the raining season, we were working with a landscape designer to create the stupa garden. Lama Zopa Rinpoche advised a Japanese-style garden in the area. Now that our artist is back, he overlaid a mandala design on the garden layout. We are looking forward to breaking ground on the gardens this summer. There will be opportunities to sponsor trees, benches etc. We will keep you updated.

We just received the okay from Rinpoche on a revised entrance to the shrine where the Buddha statue will be placed. While I was in Nepal, Good Virtue and I had a chance to order the pinnacle for the top of the Kadampa stupa and see a photo of the wax mold for our Buddha statue.
