Dear Friends:

As the rain falls lightly on Land of Medicine Buddha we reflect and rejoice in a wonderfully successful year. We send our most heartfelt wishes that you and your loved ones have also enjoyed blessings this year. With supporters like you we were able to achieve every goal. SEE DONATION OPTIONS AT BOTTOM OF THIS POST.

stupa dec 2015

Two more levels to go – 8 and 9 – to finish the main tower of the stupa.

Projects:

Today the main structure of our Stupa is close to completion. It has been joyful work. Volunteers passed holy objects hand to hand and filled the Stupa with incense, Tibetan texts, tsa tsa’s, mantras and much more.  One highlight of the year was from our inspiring young supporter Mia Stafford. Mia raised more than $12,000 alone for the Stupa project by running 108 times around our Eight Verses Pilgrimage Trail. We continue to keep our Facebook page and website updated with the latest photos and news on this project.

From the heart of our teachers and the hearts of all of you who are receiving this letter, generosity has flowed. Everyone at LMB wishes to express our deep appreciation for all of the teachings that have been given at LMB this year, and for your generous offerings and support.

Ongoing Education:

Direct education in the dharma, meditation, retreats, pujas and festive celebrations are at the forefront of what Land of Medicine Buddha offers every week to the local and worldwide community. This year when Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche was at Land of Medicine Buddha, he spoke more than once of the importance of dharma centers. That we provide quality education in the dharma is of utmost importance to our Centers mission to benefit others.

Along with the visit from Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche, in 2015 we were blessed with visits from both Jhado Rinpoche and Yangsi Rinpoche. We are also fortunate to provide a home for two highly qualified teachers. Venerable Steve Carlier teaches advanced philosophy courses, leads lam rim and tantric retreats, all with forty years of immersion in the dharma and Venerable Drimay, teaches our Discovering Buddhism course, leads a weekly meditation, and more!

Continuing Support:

While our staff works hard all year long to host teachings and retreats, that help keep LMB open to all, we do depend on additional financial support from our community. So please consider making a year-end donation. You can donate online (below), send your donation by check, or contact me for information if you would like to donate in any other way.

May your generosity be the grounds for future happiness for you, your family and all sentient beings,

In Dharma,

Denice Macy, Director & the LMB Team
