Santa Cruz County has granted permission for us to begin building the Mahabodhi Stupa at Land of Medicine Buddha. On January 9, 2014, Director Denice Macy picked up the approved plans from the Santa Cruz County Planning Office. The stupa will be 39ft tall.

Bob Cayton – the longest-standing member of the stupa project – joined the staff of Land of Medicine Buddha in celebrating up at the stupa site in the meadow. Lama Zopa Rinpoche assigned this task to him one day after he finished his 100,000 Vajrasattva mantra retreat.
